Disco beats, claps, campanacci e vocoders: Questo è il lait-motiv di Jamie Paterson e Danny Ashenden, in arte “The C90s” consacrati ed apprezzati nei principali dancefloor inglesi ed europei, approdano per la prima volta in Italia!

I giovanissimi pupilli di casa Relish Records, blasonata etichetta londinese dai toni nu-disco pichedelici e vintage annoverano tra le credenziali remix per Headman, Tape to Tape, Tronik Youth, Late of the Pier, e recentemente hanno prodotto e pubblicato remix per Roisin Murphy e Flight Facilities.
Si guadagnano il titolo di “Remixer of the month” su MixMag di Dicembre grazie al loro rework dei Filthy Dukes.

Già apprezzati dagli Aeroplane che hanno “chartato” i boys di londra più volte nell’ultimo anno DJMagazine UK ha giudicato “MUST HAVE” il loro ultimo lavoro chiamato “10:01″ con release prevista il 5 Marzo 2010 che propone tra le varie edits un remix di Headman ed uno di Villa.

Cosmici e dai toni sporchi, addicted di sonorità downtempo e synthy sounds i C90s sono la promessa (mantenuta) della nuova ondata UK-DISKO che ci piace tanto e che ci fa ballare-are-are-are…

The barking Dogs

The Barking Dogs è il progetto del duo milanese composto da Cristian Croce & Nicola Mazzetti: dalla collaborazione tra i due djs, provenienti da differenti background musicali ma entrambi con esperienze consolidate alle spalle, nasce il successo della release bd001 nel 2008, “re- incantation”, sold out in Italia ed Europa, e nel 2009 non si fanno aspettare lanciando il nuovo disco “The guitar man”, un successo che risuona nei club con i dancefloor più roventi – solo ed esclusivamente stampato su vinile 10”.

Dopo il viaggio balearico sostenuto da un beat caldo assolutamente unico di “re-incantation”,  e il sound sporco, più ‘club’ old-school di The guitar man,

le nuove release prossimamente in uscita (si parla di giugno 2009) promettono un ulteriore arricchimento nel panorama musicale dei Barking Dogs, amanti della ricerca, della sperimentazione e dell’ibridazione tra passato e futuro, con un occhio eclettico sempre attento alla scena del clubbing mondiale.

Ideatori della serata Discosafari, si fanno portavoce del movimento disco house europeo e non solo invitando e collaborando con le realtà più significative dell’ambiente, ricevendo continuamente il supporto di djs come – tra gli altri - Prins Thomas, James Murphy, Ellen Allien.

Sebastian Mullaert and Marcus Henriksson came from opposing backgrounds.

Sebastian was trained as a classical musician playing the organ, piano and the violin among other instruments. He even became involved in teaching them until his coming of age at 18 when he formed a band and began experimenting with the sounds in a more contemporary way.

Marcus lived on a diet of Kraftwerk and the Human League until realising his true calling in the techno parties of the 90s. Through promoting parties he moved on to become one of the bigger DJs in Southern Sweden. It was in a party where they met and decided to combine Sebastian’s musician’s perspective and knowledge with Marcus´ DJ skills and experience from the scene.

They got together in 1996 and after 10 years in the music business under successful guises such as Son Kite and Trimatic, Marcus & Sebastian are now Minilogue - an animalistic music concept without the boundaries of genres.

They hail from Malmö, a city situated in south Sweden. Through the years their music has expanded and moved through a variety of sounds appealing across the board of electronic music.

Their recent material touches on influences from a simplistic early 90s sound of electronica, filled with apocalyptic climaxes, warped and wondrous sounds creating textures with true depth and portraying a true sense of the duo’s vision. The track from the Hitchhkers choice video has recently been used on the new advert for the carphone warehouse

In anteprima un piccolo assaggio dei retrosuperdeejays nodesign.

Luigi Carillo, nuovo interprete del sound moderno della scena Milanese, si distingue per un set preciso ed elegantemente ricercato che passa dalle moderne sonorità elettroniche a perle di una accurata ricerca musicale dal sapore retrò ma dal sound attualissimo. Recentemente impegnato con il collettivo Nodesign, il duo Noiseincase di cui Lillo costituisce il 50% insieme al restante 50% Danilo Tubito (deejay e produttore partenopeo) sono in fase di rifinitura e lancio del loro primo disco, un mix di sonorità rock elettroniche e campionature funky riviste in chiave electrofunky dal tiro di diretto e contemporaneo.
